Hand picked from a single estate vineyard, this is an expressive and well-structured Cabernet Sauvignon that is the result of finely-tuned, low-production techniques.
An unlikely blending of two big reds — one from Bordeaux and one from Rhone — resulting in a nuanced, balanced, and supremely drinkable wine. The Cab's dense, dark fruits and notes of cocoa pair off with Syrah's pepper and smoke.
"The red blend opens with aromatics of creme de cassis, anise, blackberry cobbler and black olive. This leads to flavors of prune, red cherry, anise and spicebox. This shows nice intensity. While the wine is not reticent in terms of ripe fruits, this also shows an excellent acid backbone. (Best 2016-2028)" - June, 2016 (OB) International Wine Report
A unique take on Merlot. The result of gentle hand-sorting and processing, leaving behind only the highest quality whole berries for fermentation. Racked to a concrete tank for five weeks, followed by 20 months in French oak.
A bright and memorable California Malbec. A judge's favorite for years.
Awarded Gold at 2016 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
The pinnacle of Paso Robles Bordeaux style. Very low production; only 259 case made!
"Fruit-driven and approachable but structured as well, finishing with sneaky tannins and an echo of candied licorice." — Josh Raynolds | Vinous | Sept 2016
