A classic, austere chardonnay done in a Burgundian style. Sourced a mere seven miles from the Pacific ocean from York Mountain — one of the oldest, smallest, and most distinctive AVAs in California.
This Chardonnay opens on the nose with meyer lemon rind, green apple, toasty oak, and lychee. A taste reveals notes of creamy lemon bar and tropical fruit. The wine finishes filled with creme brule and biscuit.
100% MacBride Vineyard
This Chardonnay was whole cluster pressed into a stainless steel tank, where it was cold-settled for 48 hours. The juice was then racked to mixture of new and old French oak barrels, where it was inoculated with yeast and fermented. The wine was aged sur lees for 9 months, before being racked and bottled.
